The Connected & Confident Teen Group (Ages 14–18) at LI Strive is an interactive class designed to help teens build confidence, strengthen friendships, and successfully navigate real-world social situations in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through guided instruction, group discussions, hands-on activities, role-playing, and real-life practice, participants develop the tools needed to connect with others, communicate effectively, and feel more confident in everyday situations.

A curriculum-based community class focused on executive functioning, creating friendships, navigating social situations (including social media), learning compensatory skills and building social confidence. Each session includes instruction, discussion, activities, and real-world practice. Led by a licensed social worker.

Join us for Gaming U, a fun and interactive class where strategy, critical thinking, and teamwork come to life! In this engaging program, students will learn how to play a variety of popular games such as chess, Uno, and Monopoly. Each session includes guided instruction on rules, game strategy, and fair play, followed by hands-on gameplay where students can apply what they’ve learned. Whether you're new to these games or looking to sharpen your skills, Gaming U offers a supportive environment to learn, connect, and have fun with friends

Step into the spotlight with our Musical Theatre class at LI Strive! This exciting and inclusive community class is perfect for anyone who loves to sing, dance and act. Whether your a seasoned performer or trying the stage for the first time, our supportive environment will help you build confidence, develop your skills and bring characters to life.

Discover the calming and empowering practice of Tai Chi at LI Strive! This gentle, flowing movement class is designed to help you improve balance, flexibility, and overall well-being. Rooted in ancient Chinese tradition, Tai Chi is a mindful practice that reduces stress, enhances focus, and promotes inner peace.

Our Strength and Conditioning class teaches the basics of aerobic, low impact strength and conditioning exercises in a fun, engaging small group setting.
This class is offered to everyone ages 14+.

This Community class builds understanding of healthy food choices and how nutrition supports the body and mind, teaches the importance of exercise and movement for physical health, emotional regulation, and confidence, encourages positive self-care routines, including hygiene, rest, stress management, and emotional awareness and strengthens daily living skills such as planning, budgeting, decision-making, and independence. It includes simple, healthy recipe preparation, promoting kitchen safety, teamwork, and independence and supports social skills development, including communication, cooperation, and turn-taking.

As a Healthcare provider, yoga instructor and certified trauma informed practioner, Dr. Heidi MacAlpine ensures that our yoga classes adapt to support the whole person, taking into consideration sensory, muscular and respiratory systems. This class supports participants different learning styles and abilities and adapts and modifies instruction through props, movements and the human body to provide the necessary input to support participation. We offer small group, partner and individual lessons. Please bring your own mat.

At LI Strive, our Rhythm & Drumming class offers an interactive and inclusive musical experience where participants explore self-expression, creativity, and connection through sound and movement. Each class combines guided instruction, hands-on practice, movement, and group participation. Students will explore different styles of rhythm, experiment with creating their own beats, and engage in collaborative musical collaboration.

Join us for our Community Explorations community class at LI Strive for everyone 14+. This class offers monthly opportunities to learn about and from a variety of local community environments. Our class begins and ends at LI Strive with lessons, discussions and activities specific to the days offsite classroom. Our curriculum includes learning about environmental awareness, how to follow a scavenge hunt, guided tours, learn from nature, animals and their habitats and engaging projects and lessons.

Our Dance Fusion class offers a small group setting where you will learn the fundamentals of dance, in a variety of genres. Join us to learn some party dances as well!

In our Art Exploration class students will travel through time learning about influential art movements and legendary artists—from cave paintings and Renaissance masters to modern design and pop art. Each week includes guided sketching, hands-on drawing and painting projects, and space for students to develop their own unique style.
This class is perfect for artists who are curious about how art has shaped the world—and are excited to create some of their own!
